Position Summary

As a Strategic Account Executive (SAE) – Senior Manager, you will serve as the account leader supporting a client’s pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and their clients. This is an excellent opportunity to interface with Executive Leadership both internally and externally.  As a seasoned healthcare sales professional, you will use your years of expertise to grow our business through support of our client’s new business endeavors, renewals, and up-selling of CVS Health enterprise solutions. You will accomplish this through:

  • Being the quarterback of the strategic account team (including account management, clinical, and operations) and have ownership for client satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Driving alignment between regulatory and business stakeholders in support of client’s strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Influencing client up-sell opportunities utilizing your consultative selling skills in positioning CVS Health enterprise solutions to meet key client needs.
  • Developing and delivering quarterly and annual reporting to clients on their drug trend and financial performance and facilitates in identifying client cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supporting client renewals/RFPs by building relationships with key client stakeholders and asking effective probing questions that lead to innovative pharmacy benefit plan designs benefiting both the client and CVS Health.

Your success as a Strategic Account Executive will be driven by your ability to function as a leader for the account team and your ability to influence others to deliver results for your client.  In addition, your understanding of the PBM and managed care environment as well as proactively analyzing market trends to effectively position CVS Health programs and solutions will be essential. The contributions you will make as a Strategic Account Executive will position both our client and CVS Health for long term growth in the competitive PBM marketplace.  This role requires a thoughtful and agile sales leader.

**This is a remote role and candidates can live anywhere in the U.S. Overnight travel is expected**

Required Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of cumulative Account Management or equivalent client-facing experience in healthcare or the PBM industry.
  • Experience leading cross functional sales opportunities that touch various departments from concept to completion.
  • Must possess a valid and current driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
    • Travel may require, but is not limited to, flights, overnight stays, local travel, travel on short notice and other travel deemed necessary by the Company.

Preferred Qualification

  • Health plan experience (preferably Medicaid) supporting clients within a PBM.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to large groups, including internal and external C-suite.


Education

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; equivalent experience may be considered.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
