Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly client reports, including regulatory reporting (e.g., Basel III), with strong ownership for accuracy, timeliness, and auditability
  • Clarify requirements and proactively manage expectations on scope, timelines, and constraints; provide options and clear status updates to stakeholders
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and inquiries from internal/external clients by communicating complex data clearly and concisely and ensuring consistent messaging
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Product, Operations, Compliance, Technology) to ensure smooth end-to-end workflow and timely delivery
  • Participate in issue investigation and research; assess impact and risk, document findings, and escalate with a clear problem statement and recommended next steps
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying root causes, standardizing processes, improving controls/checks, and recommending automation where appropriate
  • Contribute to a high-performing team by sharing knowledge, documenting procedures, supporting training/peer review, and reducing key-person dependency
  • Participate in global/regional/local projects and initiatives as required, collaborating effectively across locations and time zones

Work Experience / Knowledge

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services domain, preferably in asset management industry
  • Understanding performance calculations, with exposure to investment accounting
  • Prior experience of Client and Fund Reporting
  • Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail; strong numeracy

Formal Education:

  • University graduate or above

  • Good written and verbal communication in Japanese and English; able to explain complex data/issues clearly, concisely, and with appropriate impact
  • Client focused with a keen interest in delivering superior client outcomes through reliable, consistent, and timely reporting
  • Sets a high bar for quality and controls; strong attention to detail and ability to identify risks and prevent reoccurrence
  • Open-minded and "out-of-the-box" team player who challenges the status quo and works as One Team across functions and regions
  • Strong organization skills; prioritizes effectively under pressure and tight deadlines, with end-to-end ownership and reliable follow-through
  • Learning agility to quickly acquire new product/regulatory knowledge and adopt new tools/processes; proactively seeks feedback and continuous improvement
