Position Overview

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s server infrastructure. The role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of Windows, Linux, virtualized, and cloud-based environments by monitoring system health, responding to incidents, and executing infrastructure maintenance activities. In addition, this position supports infrastructure projects, operational improvements, and automation initiatives that enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of the company’s technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and virtual server infrastructure to ensure system availability, performance, and reliability
  • Respond to infrastructure incidents, resolve system issues, and support application teams with server-related requests
  • Administer core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, certificates, server access, and backup and recovery solutions
  • Perform system patching, software upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and routine maintenance activities
  • Support and manage on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure, including Azure resources and virtualized environments
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, operational improvements, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Maintain technical documentation, change records, and maintenance schedules while serving as an escalation point for infrastructure-related issues

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required
  • 2–5 years of relevant IT infrastructure or systems administration experience required
  • Experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, and VMware environments preferred
  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure preferred
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
