This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign on bonus.*

The starting wage for this role is $22.00/hour with bonus opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate in a safe and efficient manner while unloading slab trucks, servicing the burning table and digging and sorting rounds for production purposes.  

  • Keeping accurate and legible records  

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area

  • Supplying material to slab burners and assisting Slab Yard Maintenance

  • Charging reheat furnace 

 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years experience in an industrial environment

  • Must be able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and accept changes in job duties

  • Able to learn, retain, and apply new knowledge

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, accurate number identification.

  • Able to work independently

  • Able to sit for long periods of time

  • Must have good spatial and relational perception

  • Knowledge of hand communicating signals for crane/ground communications

  • Successful completion of Ergonomics evaluation 

*Sign-on bonus paid after successful completion of 90 day probation period.
