Job Description: Team Lead – Accounts Payable

As a Team Lead in Accounts Payable at Global Business Services, the position holder will lead the activities for selected countries supported from the Hub locally. In this role, the vision is to establish and run an organization which is seen as a trusted partner to optimize corporate processes of ABB.

This role is based at Bangalore and reporting into Deputy Delivery Manager - Accounts Payable.  Your responsibilities include:

• Responsible for global service delivery for selected countries through accomplishing the targets (productivity, cost, customer satisfaction, SLAs)
• Leading delivery team on accounting and processing of invoices in a complete, accurate and timely manner while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and external regulatory requirements.
• Provide solutions to accounting and tax issues as they arise and manage the escalations efficiently
• To identify inconsistencies / issues in the process and work with internal stakeholders in resolving the same
• Ensuring accurate accruals, pre-paid schedules & timely month-end reporting
• Ensuring AP GLs are reconciled regularly, and open items are resolved timely
• Regular monitoring of invoice backlog & to keep the backlog well within the control
• Continuous improvement and process standardization for responsibility areas and work on automation initiatives
• Driving operational metrics performance management and responsible for people strategy (hiring, retention, training & development, performance management).
• Focusing on customer value addition and satisfaction to ensure GBS teams are equipped to provide the service levels agreed and enhancing internal control environment and fraud awareness.

• Your background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or equivalent 8+ years of good experience with strong exposure in managing large global teams in both captive/ BPO 3rd party set up.
• Strong Communication skills. Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
• Knowledge of SAP and AP workflow tools will be added advantage
• Must have handled a team of 12-15 employees and open for working in shifts
• Must have knowledge in US GAAP
•  India/ APAC/ AMEA/ EU/NAM – P2P process knowledge or expertise is preferred
