Department Overview

You will join R&D in Uxbridge (London, UK). You will work closely with the Alta video solution products (cameras, appliances, video management system and mobile apps)

Job Description

This is a hybrid working role, split between home working and our Uxbridge offices.

Alta video  provides an enhanced and innovative cloud security system  solution for small  and large scale customers.

You will join R&D in  Uxbridge (West London) working in our test team to maintain and improve the high quality of Alta Aware.  As an Automation test engineer, you will be responsible for creating and improving our automation framework, implementing tests for scalability and performance.

Basic Requirements

You’re not expected to have all of the following skills, but they will be useful in performing your job. We are looking for someone who:

• Can develop and maintain automation test scripts.
• Design and implement automation frameworks.
• Contribute to continuos integration and delivery processes.
• Has good troubleshooting skills.
• Is comfortable and can showcase experience in a programming language, e.g. Python, Ruby, Go.
• Excellent programming skills

It is also considered a bonus if you are:

• Experienced with API-based scripting.
• Experience in using or setting up tools for Soak/Performance testing 
• Experienced in use of Jenkins or other scheduling tools.
• It's not expected that you would be familiar with any of the languages or frameworks we use, but you should be enthusiastic and willing to learn new things.
• A subject related degree.
