As an Executive Recruiter, you will identify, attract, and engage exceptional executive-level talent for critical leadership positions. You’ll play a vital role in shaping the leadership that drives our mission forward: delivering life-changing solutions to millions around the world.

This role goes far beyond filling positions. You’ll be a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, bringing deep market intelligence, talent expertise, and extensive executive recruiting experience. Your focus will be identifying leaders who can navigate complexity, spark innovation, and accelerate our impact. Your work will influence not only who we hire—but how we lead, grow, and serve.

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Search & Market Intelligence:

  • Partner with hiring leaders to define role requirements and success profiles.

  • Conduct industry and talent research to identify and profile top executive candidates.

  • Provide market and talent insights including trends, compensation benchmarks, and candidate updates to inform recruitment strategy and decision-making.

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in ATS and CRM systems.

Proactive Sourcing & Engagement:

  • Use advanced sourcing techniques to identify and engage passive executive talent.

  • Craft compelling outreach that highlights Medtronic’s mission and attracts top candidates.

  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for current and future leadership needs.

  • Represent Medtronic professionally and credibly throughout the candidate experience.

Talent Strategy & Consulting:

  • Advise on talent availability, market conditions, and sourcing strategies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop clear job specifications and candidate profiles.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for executive roles, including confidential and high-impact searches.

  • Partner with Talent Management on succession planning and leadership pipeline development.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 10 years of experience in executive search, talent sourcing, or executive recruitment, with a strong focus on identifying and engaging senior level/executive talent. Or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in HR)

  • Significant experience within a retained executive search firm, boutique agency, or corporate executive recruiting function

Skills & Expertise Sought:

  • Research Strength: Skilled in gathering and analyzing complex talent and market data.

  • Sourcing Expertise: Advanced use of Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools.

  • Executive Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator with strong influence skills.

  • Trusted Relationship Builder: Able to earn credibility with senior stakeholders and candidates.

  • Data-Driven Thinker: Uses analytics to guide decisions and optimize strategies.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$144,800.00 - $217,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
