Department Overview

Delivering more than 2,500 customer-focused proposals a year, the MSI North American Proposal Center (NAPC) provides its customers the latest in innovative communications technology and public safety proposals. The Department employs skilled RFP Proposal Managers, Sole-Source Proposal Analysts, and professional Writers.


Job Description

To support this mission, a Proposal Manager is responsible for helping teams create persuasive proposals that highlight our company’s solutions and advantages. You will help craft responses to customer questions, coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure each document is both accurate and compelling, and manage the timeline to ensure customer compliant responses.

Responsibilities of the Proposal Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate sales proposals

  • Analyze customer requests for proposals (RFPs) to understand requirements

  • Identify opportunities and challenges in order to help craft compliant winning responses

  • Coordinate team responsibilities, schedule meetings, and set timelines

  • Organize and format content into a well-formatted, cohesive document

  • Develop a variety of sales documents (e.g., letters, project justifications, etc.)

  • Assist NAPC to review competitor materials to regularly enhance sales deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with a background in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred

  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and collaborate

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in persuasive writing

  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Internet, and email

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of marketing, communications, business, writing, sales, or proposal/project management experience
  • OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of marketing, communications, business, writing, sales, or proposal/project management experience
  • OR 6+ years marketing, communications, business, writing, sales, or proposal/project management experience
