Role Overview:
This role is responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with key stakeholders in public hospitals, healthcare associations, industrial accounts, and insurance organizations. The Key Account Manager will focus on ensuring GSK’s medicines and vaccines are successfully included in tenders and hospital listings, while driving sustainable business growth. The position requires a proactive and collaborative approach to deliver results aligned with GSK’s values of patient focus, integrity, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

1/ Strategic Customer Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers across public hospitals, healthcare associations, and insurance entities to enhance GSK’s presence and business opportunities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure GSK products are included in tenders and listings, with appropriate quota allocations that maximize accessibility for patients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Medical, and Commercial, to develop and execute strategic tender and listing plans tailored to the needs of healthcare providers.
  • Identify opportunities within the hospital channel to enhance product positioning and strengthen partnerships for targeted therapeutic areas such as vaccines, respiratory, and anti-infectives.
  • Uphold GSK’s reputation for integrity and trust by consistently adhering to the GSK Code of Conduct and compliance standards.

2/ Account Planning and Execution

  • Design and implement account-specific strategies and action plans that align with GSK’s overall business objectives and priorities in Vietnam.
  • Manage budgets effectively, including operational, promotional, and capital resources, to support account-specific initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze results to ensure objectives are met, leveraging insights to refine strategies and improve execution.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure alignment and seamless delivery of account plans, maximizing the impact of GSK’s products in the hospital channel.

3/ Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

  • Support new team members by sharing expertise, offering guidance, and helping address knowledge gaps related to GSK’s product portfolio and business processes.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of collaboration by exchanging ideas, experiences, and best practices with colleagues to collectively achieve business goals.
  • Promote teamwork and accountability, encouraging a supportive environment that drives shared success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales or Marketing, with at least 2 years in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry (multinational company experience preferred).
    • Demonstrated success in managing hospital tenders and driving results in the healthcare channel.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Deep understanding of hospital tendering processes and healthcare regulations in Vietnam.
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-making and secure favorable outcomes.
    • Strategic thinking, planning, and execution capabilities with a focus on achieving measurable results.
    • Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and confidently.
    • A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and peers.
    • Resilience and adaptability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
