Position Summary
 

The Inside Sales Rep I has the primary responsibility of interacting with new prospects to increase sales and customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, member retention, and compliance.


Job Description

Key Outcomes:

  • Performs direct sales of the Health Plan products via phone, e-mail, and at walk-in appointments to eligible beneficiaries to support the membership goals of the strategic plan, including identifying opportunities to sell, providing education about the plans, completing enrollments, and following up on prospective members.
  • Delivers world-class customer service by upholding the Martin’s Point Culture Statement of People Caring for People, modeling the Martin’s Point Values, and building key relationships with potential members,  contracted brokers, other teams and departments to help promote the success of Martin’s Point..
  • Performs all administrative activities in relation to Insides Sales.
  • Maintains accurate information and documentation in all systems and databases.
  • Manages their sales opportunity pipeline in a timely and efficient manner
  • Meets or exceeds individual sales metrics including but not limited to: sales numbers, close rates, activity completion, and quality documentation completion
  • Participates in process improvement events and other projects as assigned
  • Acts as a mentor to both new and temporary sales representatives.
  • Acquires market intelligence to inform the content and direction of the marketing and plan design
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Desired:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in sales/customer service required

Education Required Once Hired

  • State Life & Health Insurance Producer’s License for areas of service
  • Successful completion of 24 continuing education credits, at least 3 credits have to focus on ethics,  to maintain producer license required every 2 years
  • Medicare Sales Training and Certification  with a grade of 85% or higher required annually
  • GA plan exams with a grade of 85% or higher required annually

  • Sales and Marketing Skills- knowledge of principles and methods of promoting and selling products or services, which includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and proper use of sales tracking systems.
  • Computer skills-Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn and adapt quickly to new applications, and an understanding of telephonic systems, call recording and tracking systems.
  • Outstanding telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, high stress environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining focus on department objectives
  • Ability to function independently and as a team
  • Takes appropriate initiative while soliciting input/advice appropriately
  • Prioritizes time and tasks appropriately, efficiently and effectively
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Medicare Department
  • Other duties as assigned
