About the job 

As a Biologics Operations Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing of biologic medicines within a sterile production environment. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will help support daily manufacturing activities, learn how monoclonal antibody medicines are prepared and filled, and contribute to process improvement initiatives. This internship offers a valuable introduction to biopharmaceutical manufacturing and the opportunity to develop technical, analytical, and collaboration skills in a real-world production setting.

Main responsibilities

• Support daily sterile manufacturing activities, including formulation and filling of monoclonal antibody products.
• Learn and apply aseptic processing techniques while following cleanroom protocols and contamination control practices.
• Assist in collecting and analysing manufacturing data, including key performance indicators and process parameters.
• Contribute to projects that aim to improve manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
• Work with teams across Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to support safe and reliable production.
• Support investigations and improvement activities that help reduce product loss and strengthen manufacturing performance.
• Learn how regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing works and support activities aligned with Good Manufacturing Practice standards.

About you  

To excel in this role you will need to have:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences or another STEM-related field.
• A curiosity about how medicines are manufactured and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
• Interest in analysing data and using insights to improve processes.
• A positive and proactive mindset with a continuous learning approach.
• Basic experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel for data organisation and analysis.
• Basic understanding of laboratory or manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
