At EisnerAmper, we look for individuals who welcome new ideas, encourage innovation, and are eager to make an impact. Whether you’re starting out in your career or taking your next step as a seasoned professional, the EisnerAmper experience is one-of-a-kind. You can design a career you’ll love from top to bottom – we give you the tools you need to succeed and the autonomy to reach your goals.
Join the EisnerAI team and support our AI risk assessment and governance program by delivering a production-ready de-identification pipeline that automatically masks/removes PII from documents. This internship is a hands-on engineering role focused on privacy-by-design tooling, automation, and building evidence-ready artifacts that support responsible AI operations.
You will get to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms in the industry
You will join a culture that has received multiple top “Places to Work” awards
We believe that great work is accomplished when cultures, ideas and experiences come together to create new solutions
Primary Project: Production De-Identification Pipeline
You’ll build against internal de-identification requirements and acceptance criteria to deliver a tool that applies de-identification techniques (removal, masking, pseudonymization, generalization) to data.
Review internal de-identification requirements, success criteria, and expected evidence outputs
Evaluate and compare implementation options (e.g., open-source and cloud-based PII detection approaches)
Propose pipeline architecture (components, interfaces, deployment approach, logging/audit needs)
Build and test the core pipeline: PII detection + method selection by entity type
Implement consistent pseudonymization (same entity → same token)
Add output validation and quality checks (accuracy checks, redaction verification, reviewer workflow)
Add synthetic data generation capability to support testing and demos
Implement a privacy validation approach to confirm protections are effective
Produce documentation and a handoff package (runbooks, configuration guide, test evidence)
Secondary Projects:
Automate approval routing (category-based routing, quarterly attestation reminders, overdue escalation)
Build an adversarial prompt test library for RAG and web-search connected tools (reusable test cases + reporting)
Currently enrolled or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Have the availability to work in-office 3 days a week (Monday – Friday; 8:30 am – 5:30 pm).
This position can sit in one of the following offices: Atlanta, John’s Creek, Philadelphia, Iselin, or New York City
Strong Python skills and experience building production-grade services (APIs, batch pipelines, internal tools)
Familiarity with NLP/PII detection concepts (NER, regex/pattern matching, confidence thresholds)
Experience with test automation and CI (unit/integration tests, quality gates)
Comfort with enterprise tooling and automation patterns (SharePoint/Power Platform helpful)
Strong documentation habits (clear READMEs, runbooks, “handoff-ready” notes)
