Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the Shipping and Receiving department personnel, warehouse(s) and equipment used to support Acton Manufacturing Operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will be the primary point of contact for all departments needing raw materials. The Supervisor oversees all receiving, storage, and shipping operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing company truck, power lifting equipment training (forklifts and electric pallet jacks) at the Insulet Main Manufacturing Site, Acton, MA ensuring complete safety protocol adherence. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain thorough operational documentation.

This position requires adherence to standard operating procedures, aligning with our Quality Management System (QMS), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Shift and Schedule:

The Warehouse Supervisor will be required to work varying shifts based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for enforcing safety requirements to minimize safety risks by reporting any safety incidents, hazards, and equipment malfunctions promptly to management.

  • Supervises direct reporting staff according to company policy.

  • Oversee and support employee development.

  • Ensure the Warehouse shipping and receiving team is adequately trained.

  • Manage raw material and component receipts and storage (on and off-site) and ensure accurate and timely transactions in compliance with QMS.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report to leadership.

  • Optimize warehouse storage to minimize off-site storage costs.

  • Responsible for domestic and international shipments of unsterile products to sterilization sites.

  • Manage shipping and receiving documentation for import/export compliance.

  • Ensure CPAT compliance for 100 Nagog Shipping and Receiving.

  • Perform all other similar or related duties as required or directed by management.

Minimum Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (High school diploma/GED plus 4 years of related experience) OR

  • Associate's degree with 2 years of experience in warehouse operations and use of ERP systems.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 Year working in Distribution, Receiving or Manufacturing Support environment in a team lead or supervisory role.

  • Proficient with business environment software applications like Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experienced in the use of ERP systems, SAP preferably.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license (non-CDL) willing to obtain DOT medical license for driving intercompany box truck.

  • Forklift/forktruck operation experience.

  • Strong customer service orientation for both internal and external customers.

  • Ability to direct and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.

Physical Requirements (if applicable):

  • Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs.

  • Must be able to stand and bend up to 8 hours a day.

  • Required to lift above the shoulder frequently and below the waist occasionally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,025.00 - $97,537.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
