THE TEAM

Most of us had no previous experience working in music -- just a shared excitement about the space, a willingness to go to concerts / venues / festivals when needed as part of the job, and a desire to go to concerts / venues / festivals in our free time, too.

The Marketing Insights and Data Analytics Services team within the Marketing & Data Strategy organization works on projects across all divisions, to develop insights around Fans and Marketing programs. These insights are used to inspire new marketing programs and improve existing marketing efforts across Concerts, Ticketmaster, and Sponsorship business units. We are also responsible for quantifying the value of our marketing efforts through our test and learn program, incrementality testing and attribution thought leadership.

THE ROLE
The Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics is responsible for owning the measurement of marketing campaigns for Live Nation in North America, specifically supporting corporate marketing initiatives as well as regional marketing efforts. They will partner with the planning and strategy teams across the entire campaign development process to support data and analytics needs to inform planning decisions, define KPIs, validate that tracking is in place, measure performance, and provide analysis and recommendations based on learnings.   

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics must be able to orchestrate and manage a measurement program with little oversight – crafting plans, assigning out duties, advising team members, as well as be a strong individual contributor in analysis and measurement set up. 

The ideal candidate will have robust experience in marketing and analytics, with a background in both digital and traditional/offline media. They must be service-oriented, with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to distill complex ideas down to simple terms. There is a strong preference for someone with a background in the marketing of entertainment, events, or music.

This person will report to the Director of Marketing Analytics.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Effectively communicate complex analyses to stakeholders, through compelling writing, creative presentation decks and verbal storytelling
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, gather their requirements, and define KPIs, tracking, and reporting for campaigns and channels
  • Ensure successful project delivery via strategic planning and organization of workflows
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and recommend the adoption of new measurement technologies or methodologies
  • Join vendor meetings and represent Live Nation Analytics – ensuring proposed marketing plans and solutions are routed in smart measurement planning
  • Synthesize data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that drive business results
  • Conduct in depth ad hoc marketing analysis as identified by strategic partners and planners

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING: TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Marketing, Data Analytics, or similar field
  • 4+ years of work experience in marketing with a heavy focus on analysis.  
  • 2+ years management experience of a small or medium sized team (or Lead exp)
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Proficiency with data visualization, deck design, storytelling and presenting complex information
  • Understanding of key media performance metrics including ROAS, ROI, CAC, Contribution Margin, etc.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to work with people with various communication styles
  • Experience with digital media platforms such as SA360, The Trade Desk, Campaign Manager, Facebook Ad Manager, YouTube Analytics, etc.
  • Experience within traditional offline media (TV, Radio, OOH, etc), and measurement of these platforms (ex: MMM, Brand Lift Studies, View-Based Attribution Methodologies, Matched Market Testing)
  • Experience creating compelling presentations and reports for executives/senior leadership
  • MS Excel expertise – lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas

Desired:

  • Able to write and run complex SQL queries to pull data required across multiple tables
  • Data Viz and Dashboarding Experience – either creating or being a power-user of (experience with one of the following: Tableau, PowerBI, Domo, Looker, Google Data Studio)
  • Knowledge of statistics, measuring statistical significance, and statistical testing methodologies
  • Experience working at a growth stage Internet, software, DTC or similar company desired
  • Experience working in Entertainment or Live Events industry

The expected compensation for this position is:

$104,000.00 USD - $130,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
