Position Summary

You will be responsible for evolving the APAC portfolio by developing a robust strategy and enabling execution of the same, working with FMC teams, external partners, and stakeholders across global, region and country levels. In addition, you will also lead marketing planning activities for APAC.

Location: Multiple locations across APAC, excluding Singapore

The Role

Your responsibilities include:

  • Portfolio strategy: Develop the asset-specific portfolio strategy with new offers, segmented value propositions, brand ladders and innovation initiatives to continue enhancing value, scope and scale.        
  • New product introduction: Drive commercialization of the FMC technology pipeline with launch of innovative product offers and new formulations, working collaboratively across functions to ensure successful NPI delivery.
  • Post-patent management: Progress the post-patent strategy of relevant AIs, taking into account the evolving competitive scenario, product life-cycle management and FMC growth goals. 
  • Optimize financial performance: Drive financial performance of the portfolio, review portfolio pricing, profitability, and implications on the P&L.
  • Business, market intelligence: Drive generation of market insights, competitive intelligence, industry analytics to guide strategic decisions. Be the focal point for all market research activities
  • Marketing planning: Support key marketing initiatives and engagements eg. Long-range plans, strategy development, competitive intelligence and related to enable achieving planned growth of the business.    

The Candidate

The key to success in this position is a strong drive for results and to drive decisive actions to enhance the competitiveness of the FMC portfolio. As you will be interacting with a broad network of stakeholders, it is important that you possess strong people and communication skills; and are able to lead and influence cross-functional teams and independent work groups across geographies.

We also expect that you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing; MBA preferred
  • Experience in crop protection business (10 – 15 years) in marketing and commercial functions. Must have either worked at a regional or global marketing level managing a meaningful portfolio and/or worked at a country leadership level heading marketing or commercial function(s). 
  • Extensive experience in portfolio management – developing and implementing portfolio plans, new product introductions, post-patent strategies and brand management.  
  • Experience in project management preferred
  • Experience with working with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
