Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain batch processing applications using Spring Batch
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to understand data processing requirements
  • Develop high-performance and scalable ETL/data processing pipelines
  • Optimize batch jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Handle large volume data processing, scheduling, and monitoring
  • Integrate batch systems with databases, messaging systems, and REST APIs
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes in a timely manner
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

6+ years experience in

  • Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8 or above)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Batch
  • Experience in building ETL pipelines / batch processing systems
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
  • Understanding of multithreading and concurrency
  • Experience with job schedulers (Control-M, Autosys, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Spring Boot
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
