Project Manager – Digital Video & Asset Management

Job Summary

HP Customer Support is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead tools, processes, and innovation across our global video production and publishing ecosystem. This role is responsible for optimizing digital asset management (DAM), streaming video platforms, and publishing workflows to ensure high-quality, scalable, and future-ready support video content.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with deep knowledge of digital asset management systems, metadata strategy, and modern video platforms—including YouTube and enterprise streaming technologies. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement, enabling the team and vendors, and ensuring operational excellence across tools and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Tools, Process, and Enablement

  • Provide training on processes and standards for Jira, Acquia DAM, New Spark, Brightcove, and YouTube for internal teams and external vendors
  • Serve as the first point of contact for tool-related topics and partner closely with internal tools teams
  • Provide troubleshooting support for tools and resolve issues reported through Jira, ensuring timely response and resolution – continuously look for process improvements
  • Communicate best practices, tips, updates, and process changes to the team in a clear and actionable manner

Digital Asset Management & Metadata

  • Manage video asset inventory in Acquia DAM, ensuring metadata accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Maintain and evolve metadata strategy to support discoverability, reuse, and scalability
  • Ensure assets are updated to meet changing business and customer needs
  • Drive consistent archiving standards so all video deliverables can be recreated by any editor/vendor

Video Publishing & Platform Optimization

  • Own and maintain publishing workflows across platforms, including Jira, Brightcove, and YouTube
  • Monitor YouTube trends, platform updates, and feature releases; proactively identify opportunities to improve performance and engagement
  • Drive adoption of existing and new platform capabilities to maximize reach and impact
  • Partner with stakeholders to continuously improve publishing strategy and execution
  • Oversee publishing activities to ensure adherence to established workflows, proactively identifying gaps and failure points, and driving optimal use of publishing and uploader tools

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Investigate and report on new features and enhancements across tools and platforms
  • Advocate for improvements that increase reach, efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Lead implementation of approved enhancements and process changes
  • Ensure workflows and outputs are future-ready, including readiness for AI-enabled capabilities

Process & Workflow Ownership

  • Maintain end-to-end processes and strategy for video publishing, workflow management, and asset lifecycle
  • Ensure alignment across internal teams, vendors, and systems
  • Drive standardization while enabling flexibility for evolving business needs

KPIs / Success Measures

  • Tool uptime and reliability

  • Accuracy and completeness of metadata/tagging

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management, digital media, information management, or related field
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in project management, digital asset management, or video/content operations

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, including metadata structures, taxonomy, and governance
  • Experience with enterprise DAM platforms such as Acquia DAM (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with streaming video technologies and platforms (e.g., Brightcove or similar)
  • Deep understanding of YouTube, including platform features, optimization strategies, and emerging capabilities
  • Experience working with Jira or similar workflow/issue tracking systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive adoption of best practices
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, document, and scale processes


Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in project management, HP Services business units, HP global projects, or a related field.
