Job Description:

Job Summary
This position supervises Union Package Handlers - Trains, develops and upholds Company and workgroups to work responsibly and to Company standards. This position holds employees accountable for safety, quality, production and performance through observations and training as well as attendance. This position sets and maintains high standard for accuracy, efficiency, productivity, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation and safety. As a Department, we recover lost and uncollected revenue from customers, whether due to operational inefficiencies, human error or fraud. He/she ensures the completion of daily activities of employees, efficacy of billing units/systems (Singulators, Tilt Trays, IDS/EIDS, NSDS), completing all assigned duties safely, efficiently and in a timely fashion.



Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and trains Union Revenue Recovery employees.
  • Conducts Audits of procedures and methods to generate reports/results.
  • Calibrates, validates, audits and guarantees units are good to bill
  • Ensures all employees adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, operating in full compliance with Department, station, Corporate and Local government requirements.
  • Manages Department resources to ensure maximum outputs, accuracy and efficiency at all times.
  • Establishes and promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement/engagement, proactive communication, problem-solving, interdepartmental corporation and continual improvement on all levels.
  • Implements employee personal development plans required to ensure the continuing professional growth of department personal. Includes completion of Safety training and new implementations in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all Department employee receives and relay specific information, detail orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, payroll, compiling and sending reports, proactive coaching to support their continued development.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred
  • Management experience - Preferred
  • Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to schedule
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • The candidate must be experienced in Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift over 70lbs/Climb ladders and stairs

Hours:

  • Minimum of 5.0 hours per day/25 hours per week
  • As Business and Coverage dictates
  • Position guarantee 25 hours per week

Schedule and Location:

  • This is a La Mirada Coverage Supervisor Position
  • Flexibility of hours to cover coworker days off and vacations
  • Reliable transportation is required

  • Primary location: La Mirada Facility
  • When fully staffed, Monday to Friday - 7:00PM to 12:00AM
  • When not fully staffed, coverage needed varies by sort and job task
  • La Mirada Day and Calibrations, Monday to Friday
  • La Mirada Twilight and Night, Monday to Friday
  • La Mirada Preload, Tuesday to Saturday

  • Secondary location: Cerritos/Compton (possible coverage)

Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $25.70/hr to $41.80/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
