Job Summary & Responsibilities

Role Overview

This role plays a critical leadership function in regional business support, owning metrology engagement across key accounts in Taiwan, South Asia, and Japan. You will ensure Onto’s metrology solutions deliver clear and compelling value to regional customers while aligning with global product and roadmap direction.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Strategy

  • Own the regional product marketing strategy for OCD, Film and software
  • Develop competitive landscape assessments across Taiwan, South Asia, and Japan.
  • Lead regional CI collection, synthesizing competitive insights from customer engagements, benchmarks, and field intel to influence the global roadmap.
  • Build market-sizing models by node, region, and application segment
  • Partner with Product Marketing and local sales to influence OCD, Film and software roadmap

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Develop differentiated value propositions tailored for Taiwanese and regional customer needs.
  • Translate complex metrology specifications into clear customer-facing value.

Go-to-Market Planning

  • Lead GTM strategy in the region for new product launches
  • Build and maintain launch collateral tailored for regional processes and fab workflows
  • Partner with local sales teams to support adoption at regional accounts.

Regional Business Support, Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary metrology marketing interface for regional accounts.
  • Own regional account marketing support for customers in Taiwan, South Asia, and Japan.
  • Provide deep application alignment, positioning guidance, and value communication across these accounts.
  • Support escalations, technical positioning, roadmap discussions, and executive-level briefings.
  • Partner with field teams to identify and prioritize new metrology applications emerging from regional customer needs.
  • Develop regional value stories, application notes, competitive battlecards, and metrology training content.
  • Support technical evaluations, spec discussions, and metrology capability deep-dives with customer engineering teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Applications, Sales, and Service globally.
  • Provide regional insights to shape roadmap decisions and prioritization.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure clear alignment between customer requirements and Onto’s strategy.

Qualifications

Technical Foundation

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or technical marketing

Preferred

  • Experience supporting leading logic, foundry, or memory customers. TSMC experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of FEOL/BEOL integration, GAA, 3D NAND, 3D DRAM, hybrid bonding, and advanced packaging
  • Technical credibility in metrology and semiconductor manufacturing
  • Ability to translate complex modeling concepts into customer value
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic communication skills.
  • Experience working across multiple regions (Taiwan, Japan, South Asia) is a plus.
