The team marries technology with creativity to build world-class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for our businesses. We are Storytellers and Innovators. Creators and Builders. Entertainers and Engineers. We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company’s media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touch points serving millions of people around the world.
Here are a few reasons why we think you’d love working here:
Within this organization, the FinOps Team drives cloud cost management and optimization across our major technology platforms. We combine financial insight, data analysis, and engineering partnerships to ensure every dollar spent in the cloud creates business value.
As a FinOps Intern, you’ll join a team that partners with engineering, finance, and vendor management to manage and optimize Disney’s multi-cloud environments at global scale. You’ll gain hands-on experience in cloud cost analysis, financial forecasting, and vendor collaboration — all while learning how data powers Disney’s streaming, content, and digital products.
What You Will Do:
Cloud Financial Analysis & Reporting: Support monthly cloud billing and usage analysis across multiple vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure), reconcile invoices and validate credits, build dashboards to track trends, and learn to identify cost anomalies.
Forecasting & Optimization: Partner with Engineering and Finance to model forecasts and “what-if” scenarios, research optimization opportunities, and connect business growth to cloud financial planning.
Vendor & Partner Collaboration: Assist in vendor business review preparation and maintain summaries of contractual benefits such as credits, training, or incentives.
Enablement & Education: Participate in FinOps learning sessions, research emerging FinOps practices, and contribute to documentation and process improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
Curiosity about cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and how technology and finance intersect.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Passion for Disney, technology, and learning new skills in a fast-paced environment.
