Job Summary
- This role is responsible for coordinating account plans and aligning clients' objectives with the organization's strategies to create enduring, mutually beneficial partnerships. The role acts as a subject matter expert, applies consultative selling techniques, and mentors junior account managers.
Responsibilities
- Engages directly with customers, maintaining a high level of customer loyalty, and identifying their unique requirements.
- Implements the account planning process, actively managing, and updating through scheduled reviews to drive growth opportunities.
- Applies consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance profitable revenue opportunities with clients.
- Aligns customer requirements with the organization’s capability and customizes them to best fit the client’s needs, ensuring enduring customer satisfaction.
- Acts as a subject matter expert, providing insights and guidance to sales teams on complex deals and customer-specific requirements.
- Collaborates with finance teams to develop pricing and negotiation strategies, ensuring profitability and competitiveness in the market.
- Responsible for achieving and managing quarterly, half-yearly, and annual quotas.
- Implements margin recovery strategies and activities.
- Acts as the first interface for international accounts in collaboration with global business teams and local teams.
- Mentors and coaches junior account managers, providing guidance on sales techniques, customer relationship management, and professional development.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Understanding of Managed Print business in New Zealand market
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in account management, tele sales, product specialty (computers, printers, servers, storage), or a related field.
