The Franchise Lead - Specialty reports directly to the Disease Area Strategy Lead. As part of the Disease Area Strategy team, you will contribute to defining, enabling, and guiding the Roche and Pharma International vision for the Specialty Portfolio.

The Opportunity

Responsibilities: 

  • Inspire strategic expertise and a forward-thinking mindset across the affiliate, leading by example to foster transparency, creativity, and collaboration throughout the organization.

  • Act as a unified partner with the Oncology IPSL, aligning efforts across the Disease Area Strategy Unit to drive a patient-centered vision and effective execution.

  • Build and empower high-performing, customer-centric teams by coaching, removing barriers, and enabling collaboration between enablers and Points of Care (PPoCs) for fit-for-purpose solutions.

  • Provide strategic direction for portfolio optimization, guiding long- and short-term disease strategies, ensuring effective launches, and embedding a competitive, ambitious mindset in decision-making.

  • Develop innovative business strategies, integrating products with value-added services and solutions, and championing novel approaches to commercialization and customer engagement.

  • Lead the team in achieving commercial excellence by analyzing market trends, addressing customer needs, utilizing digital tools, and leveraging data-driven insights to drive impactful decisions.

  • Track and measure success by implementing key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and supporting the transformation into a high-performing network.

Who you are

  • Higher degree and/or specialist accreditation and/or Business qualification eg. MBA and fluency in Spanish and English is required.

  • 10+ years’ professional experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry  or related experience with a broad mix of experience in product management, strategic planning, market research, and/or financial analysis within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry would be preferred

  • Extensive management experience, including leading high-performing and cross-functional teams, managing through others, driving cross-disciplinary processes, and effectively leading change, resolving conflicts, and negotiating impactful outcomes.

  • Extensive and solid experience in product strategy, specially in the development and launch of new products, commercial, business development, or related field  of the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry

  • Familiarity with the Central America and the Caribbean environment and healthcare system

Preferred

  • Life Science degree desirable.
