GCG is seeking a Team Lead in our Culinary division responsible for greeting customers and ensuring prompt service, accepting payment, tendering change in respect of sales while ensuring the highest level of customer service. Carry out any leadership, supervisory, coaching and development responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.

Requirements:

  • Make preparations for the start of the shift, including that all menu items are ready for start of shift at 7:00 am.
  • Update the daily lunch specials and any other daily specials on the display monitors.
  • Ensure restaurant staff lunch orders are taken, and preparations are made for collection.
  • Provide prompt, courtesy and exceptional service to all customers in the Restaurant.
  • Make preparation for all deposits of the sales transactions within the Restaurant.
  • Ensure all deposit bags for the Restaurant are logged and all remaining stock is recorded and handed over to the employee taking over the next shift.
  • Record and reconcile all daily sales transactions of the Team Member at the end of the shift, and the float is returned to the safe for security.
  • Balance end of shifts for Team Members. End of Day reconciled Cash must be Deposited without the float. This is to be arranged and collected by Guardsman.
  • Keep record of all wastage and usage reports for the Restaurant and hand over information to the Concessions Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Four (4) CXC or Ordinary Level passes, including Mathematics and English Language and a minimum of three year’s professional experience.  Experience in working in the food and beverage/hospitality sector would be an asset.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team.
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of the restaurant’s operations and customer service.
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) etc.
  • Able to communicate in English orally and in writing.
