What you need to know about this position:
This position reports to the Quality Manager. The food safety and sanitation supervisor will be responsible to ensure all QA and sanitation programs are executed according to the quality policies of the Company.
How you will contribute
You will organize the process of conducting regular GMP audits at the plant. You will provide advice on the basic requirements for the sanitary design of production equipment during the implementation of projects.
You will closely work with the to the experts of the corporate sanitation group on the technical questions.
Read, understand, and ensure compliance with Mondelez Sanitation policies, Mondelez Pest Control Manual, Quality Policy Expectation's related to Sanitation and pest control analysis, and Position Papers.
Develop, maintain, and monitor the site Cleaning Validation Program according to quality policies
Develop, maintain, and monitor the site Master Sanitation Schedule on a routine basis, ensuring adherence to sanitation requirements.
Continually contribute to the improvement of the Sanitation, Pest Control and Environmental Monitoring programs/systems to ensure sustainable compliance to standards.
Responsible for the review and collection of information and data to support compliance of site sanitation, pest control and environmental monitoring programs.
Creation and maintenance of site cleaning and inspection documentation and programs.
Participate and review both internal and external audits performed at facility focusing on sanitation and pest control programs.
Routinely interact with other site counterparts to review policies and ensure best practices are established and followed.
Work in conjunction with Production & Engineering colleagues to create and revise Sanitation and Pest Control SOPs and Work Instructions.
Address issues related to sanitation, pest control and environmental monitoring incidents in a timely manner to ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Ensure all sanitation, pest control and environmental monitoring records are accurate and maintained by regular review.
Work in safe manner and be aware of potential safety hazards in the department and workplace.
In conjunction with colleagues, address deviations as required to ensure consumer safety and product quality.
Assist in providing Quality compliance training to site colleagues as required.
Must be able to prioritize work for maximum time effectiveness and efficiency, and handle a number of situations at one time including concentrating and pay close attention to detail.
Develop productivity strategies that effectively lower controllable costs of sanitation labor and operating supplies.
Actively engage in auditing control program to ensure compliance to all procedures and policies, GMP standards, Mondelez requirements, and regulatory, federal, and local laws.
Perform foreign substance / HACCP deviation investigation along with operations team.
Additional Quality and Sanitation duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in food science or a similar field.
Previous experience as a sanitation supervisor.
