All positions are considered on-site roles. After six months of employment, employees may have the opportunity to apply for a hybrid work schedule. Academic positions (Faculty) require on-campus presence, even if the role involves teaching online classes, in accordance with state law.

Position Summary
Provides instruction for non-credit courses within the 911 Dispatcher Program. The adjunct must hold current TCOLE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement) Basic Instructor License and have relevant industry experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Current TCOLE Basic Instructor License (mandatory).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with students and staff in a teaching environment.

  • Demonstrated success in training or mentoring within emergency communications or law enforcement.

  • Ability to provide quality customer service and maintain professionalism.


Physical Requirements
Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

  • Associate degree or higher AND three years.

  • Must hold TCOLE Basic Instructor License.

  • Official transcripts required at time of interview.

  • Bilingual preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction for 911 Dispatcher courses aligned with TCOLE standards.

  • Provide course syllabi including institutional requirements, grading policy, attendance, and resource materials.

  • Maintain accurate records for grades and attendance.

  • Submit required documentation and evaluations per institutional and TCOLE guidelines.

  • Complete Dallas College professional development training hours annually.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
