Who You’ll Work With:

We are looking for a US Retail Alternatives Product Specialist within the US Retail sales team. This team is responsible for developing and servicing sales of all AB Alternative products through our Intermediary Distributors and their Financial Advisors. The candidate will work closely with our Product and Investment teams, the National Accounts team, and South Division Field sales teams to help drive sales across multiple alternative products and vehicles.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the South region point of contact for US Retail Alts Sales for the specific products.

  • Partner with Regional Managers and Regional Consultants to build relationships with advisors and centers of influence.

  • Explain complex Alternative strategies to financial advisors focused on opportunistic credit, hard assets, direct lending, commercial real estate, and hedge funds.

  • Provide a deep understanding of the investment process, global market outlook, and strong advocate for the services.

  • Establish and maintain a business plan to identify, target and service top users of alternatives in your coverage area.

  • Assist with the planning and execution of roadshows and conferences

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in the alternative investment industry (Preferred experience in credit markets).

  • Knowledge of public registered and private fund structures including, BDCs, REITS, Interval Funds and Limited Partnerships.

  • Understanding of the retail alternatives market trends and the competitive landscape

  • Series 7 FINRA certification 

  • Current CAIA or progressing towards preferred

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while multitasking, adhering to tight deadlines and maintaining strategic relationships with internal partners

  • Ability to influence decisions leveraging strategic insights based on experience/knowledge of Alternatives and global distribution

  • Strong marketing and messaging skills, with the vision to create and maintain a compelling story for the firm’s offering

  • A team player with highly developed interpersonal skills, including collaboration, negotiation and influence

  • A desire to interact directly with both internal and external clients and to influence their product knowledge and support our sales
