The Director, Corporate Business Services plays a critical leadership role within Western Union’s Business Technology Services organization. This position is responsible for overseeing teams across process engineering, business analysis, intelligent automation, and business-aligned technology services. Reporting to the VP of Business Technology Services, you will work closely with senior leadership across business and IT to execute a strategic roadmap aligned with company goals.

Role Responsibilities
You will lead a cross-functional business processes, business analysis, automation, and technology teams tasked with driving continuous improvement and change initiatives across Western Union’s front and back-office portfolios.

Partner closely with VP Business Technology Services to prioritize, design, and execute a strategic roadmap aligned with organizational goals
Raise the bar as a local leader, fostering a strong culture of customer centricity, ownership, and accountability
Lead and enhance the Corporate Business Services team in driving end-to-end process, analysis, automation, and technology improvements
Oversee and strengthen the Process Engineering function, establishing cross-functional working groups, implementing best practices, and continuous improvements
Oversee and help scale the value of the Robotic Process Automation team, partnering with the business to identify, implement and govern intelligent automation opportunities
Drive modernization of the back-office business analysis into a modern product management discipline
Collaborate closely with technology teams to drive sustainable architecture optimization across technology platforms aligned to business needs
Serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, technology, and external partners to drive seamless end-to-end processes and experiences
Develop executive-level reporting on KPIs and OKRs
Mentor and grow a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Role Requirements
10+ years of experience in business technology services, process engineering, automation, or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives in global, complex, and matrixed environments.
Experience with business process engineering, enterprise architecture, RPA, intelligent automation, and systems integration.
Familiarity with modern tools such as process mining, AI/ML, data & analytics platforms, and agile product management.
Strong understanding of front and back-office business functions.
Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives with measurable business impact.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated success in driving innovation, building high-performance teams, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; capable of conceptual thinking and designing innovative solutions.
High-impact leadership; able to inspire change, drive results, and influence cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
Adept at designing and implementing new processes and managing through ambiguity and complexity.

Salary
The monthly gross base salary range is 5,875 – 9,792 EUR. This range represents anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible for an annual variable target incentive (which include long-term incentives) that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies.
