Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Intern to join our team at Micron, a leading semiconductor company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment. The intern will be responsible for developing a system to optimize material consumption and meet our efficiency targets.
Scope:
1. System Development: Design and implement a system to monitor and control material consumption in the manufacturing process.
2. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
3. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and implement process improvements.
4. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on material usage and efficiency metrics.
Deliverable:
1. Material Consumption System: A fully functional system to track and optimize material usage.
2. Efficiency Reports: Regular reports detailing material consumption, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
3. Process Documentation: Comprehensive documentation of the system and any process changes implemented.
Skillset Require:
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Educational Background:
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
