Data Analyst

The Opportunity:

Our client is standing up a modeling, simulation, and decision analytics program to produce and integrate operational modeling, simulation, and data analytics in support of Joint, Combined, and Coalition operations, planning, and decision making. This new program will leverage digital technologies and analytic methodologies to inform planning, exercises, experiments, and wargames through models, simulations, and analytics of current and alternative operational environments, learn probable adversary actions and reactions, and understand the possible impacts to U.S., Alliance, and partner forces’ ability to operate in the USEUCOM AOR.

You’ll help our team and our client produce mission-relevant insights, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate the output of various mathematical, statistical, and data models. You’ll support the integration of Service Component and Joint data sources within a bespoke cloud environment. You’ll have the opportunity to analyze Joint operations, capabilities, and experiments, and to communicate your analysis to customers across USEUCOM and Joint Staff.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience conducting data analytics using qualitative and quantitative methods
• 1+ years of experience leveraging data visualization software, such as Tableau or Power BI
• 1+ years of experience with SQL, VBA, or Excel functions
• Ability to explore, gather insights, identify patterns and trends, and tell stories with data
• Ability to translate quantitative results to lay audiences 
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• 1+ years of experience with Python, R, JavaScript, or other programming languages
• Experience working at a Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or Major Command staff
• Experience supporting the IC or DoD
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
