The Opportunity

This position works out of our Scottsdale, AZ, location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

We are seeking a high caliber Calibration Technician I will be working under minimal supervision, performs inspection and testing of equipment and tooling in accordance with policy and procedures.

 

What You’ll Work On

  • Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) according to written protocols.

  • Maintain accurate written and calibration records.

  • Apply existing work methods to different situations and solves problems ranging from recurring/routine to complex situations.

  • Utilizing various measurement/test equipment and computers, calibrate electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.

  • Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains measuring and indicating instruments.

  • Prepare documentation and generate reports.

  • Execute calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, documents, drawings, and requirements.

  • Adapt existing work methods to different situations.

  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate and coordinate calibrations with other functional groups, internal customers, and outside vendors as needed.

  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • Minimum 5 years

  • Previous experience in Quality performing inspection.

  • Prior medical device component inspection experience preferred.

  • Experience with optical measurement equipment, hand tools, gages, pressure and force gage testing.

  • Training in blueprint reading and experience with inspection sampling techniques.

  • Knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO 13485.

  • Good communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • ASQ CMI certification preferred.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required, including weekends.

  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Meet the minimum vision requirements to demonstrate fitness to perform the task.

The base pay for this position is

$19.60 – $39.20/hour
