The Marketing Propositions Senior Specialist has accountability for delivering radically simplified and compelling propositions to our C&SB customers, underpinned by a world-class loyalty program, excellent products, a brilliant customer experience and based on deep customer insight. As a Marketing Propositions Senior Specialist, you will design, test, create and launch new propositions which encourage customers to buy more and stay longer with Telstra. You will work within a multi-skilled agile team to deliver commercially viable propositions that deliver exceptional customer experiences and build Telstra’s reputation as a globally innovative company. 

About the role

Your role specifically will be a 12mth Fixed Term working in the Mobile Base Management mission.
 

Responsibilities:

This is how you will bring the purpose of your role to life: 

  • Set the customer base strategy for a product refresh to existing customers, executing brilliantly to minimise customer churn and maximise business outcomes
  • Understand specific needs of individual customer cohorts within the base and develop appropriate treatment plans to cater for their needs
  • Own business performance for offers, including optimisation and measurement of Consumer and Small Business P&Ls, to achieve target / plan for key metrics e.g. SIOs, SoNA, revenue, ARPU, GCM, EBITDA 
  • Define customer value propositions / customer offers based on customer insights, data and market insights 
  • Own the design, development, and delivery of offers including driving in-market performance and updating/building new offers and promotions as required, enabling us to acquire, grow and retain our customers and outperform the market 
  • Drive the migration and exit of legacy plans as we prepare customers for migration into digital stack 
  • Create an end-to-end customer experience across the product or service life cycle that drives market growth and profitability including but not limited to onboarding and customer lifecycle management 
  • Work with relevant Product & Technology and Networks & IT Missions, to prioritise product and offer roadmap, and build according to commercial value and improved customer outcome 
  • Work with Frontline Design and Delivery to design offers and promotions that deliver brilliant customer and frontline impacts 
  • Participate in and embrace the ways of working mindsets and practices in a chapter where creativity and adaptivity are highly sought-after attributes 

Desirable skills and attributes

  • Commercial acumen with a proven ability to make strategic and data-driven decisions that drive business growth and profitability
  • Ability to understand and interpret data – being able to interpret data and then translate it into an action plan  
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our segment groups to define the customer value proposition based on customer insights and market opportunity. 
  • Knowledge of the Mobile product category
  • Experience with Siebel and/or Console is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience in using customer insight, industry trends and competitor activity to develop simple, compelling and profitable value propositions 
  • Experience in propositions development or product management
  • Strong stakeholder, communication and negotiation skills 
  • Strong execution skills and attention to detail 
  • Self-starter, well organised and have established leadership skills  
  • Strong customer mindset 
  • Experienced and comfortable working in agile methodologies, including the use of Telstra agile tools 
  • A bachelor’s degree - Marketing, Commerce or equivalent.
