Mold Masters is excited to engage a CAD Automation Intern to join our Global Engineering Services team. This internship offers undergraduate students an excellent opportunity to develop skills in CAD automation, streamline design workflows, and contribute to innovative engineering projects. As part of your role, you will assist in creating and maintaining automated solutions that enhance design efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within our engineering processes.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement automation scripts using JavaScript, VBA, Python, or other scripting tools to optimize CAD design tasks.
Collaborate with design engineers to understand workflows and identify automation opportunities.
Support the creation of macros and tools to automate repetitive design activities.
Maintain and enhance existing automation solutions to ensure continued efficiency.
Troubleshoot and test automation scripts for robustness and reliability.
Document procedures and prepare user guides for automation tools.
Team & Collaboration:
You will be part of the Global Design Automation Team, working alongside experienced automation professionals. This collaborative environment fosters growth, innovation, and hands-on learning, providing you with valuable insights into engineering automation processes.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields (preferably in 3rd year or higher).
Basic familiarity with CAD software such as PTC Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar platforms.
Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, VBA, Java, HTML, CSS, or others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Eagerness to learn new technologies and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Must have reliable transportation to our Mold Masters HQ in Georgetown, Ontario.
In accordance with Ontario’s Working for Workers Act, this position is to fill an existing vacant position. The Company does not currently use artificial intelligence or automated decision-making tools in its Talent Acquisition process. The pay range for this role is $20 - 25/hr CAD. Exact compensation will be based on experience, education and other job-related factors.
