Job Description

The Program Specialist II (Student Success-Summer Temp) will support the Panther Pride Summer Bridge program from July 6, 2026, until August 7, 2026.

The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Summer program counselors and Summer bridge participants. Supervise pre-college camps counselors and campers and provide guidance during weekly workshops for the week.
  • Required to travel with students on all field trips and Professional Development with companies.
  • Prepares reports on program activities/incidents as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of six years of experience.
