Summary of the role:
Manager for Sales Finance oversees global revenue recognition and licensing related accounting for the wholesale business, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and strong controls. The role owns revenue provisions, adjustments, reconciliations, and month‑end and quarter‑end close, while partnering with Sales, Controllers, AR, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Vendor teams to deliver accurate reporting, consolidate inputs, assess financial impact, and support period close activities. A key focus is driving standardization, automation, and audit‑ready governance across revenue processes. This role will oversee Asia & Europe region with a proven track record of managing complex multi-market environments.
About the role:
Revenue Accounting & Customer Programs
Review and Manage accounting for customer programs including:
Trade discounts, Rebates and incentives, Promotional allowances, Volume-based and performance-based programs
Review and ensure approval on accurate calculation, accrual, true-up, and release of program liabilities
Assess program structures for appropriate revenue treatment and accounting impact. Support contract reviews and program setup from a revenue recognition perspective for Asia & Europe Regions.
Accruals, Reserves & Financial Close
Own monthly and quarterly accrual processes for customer programs
Establish and maintain reserves in line with historical trends and forecasts
Perform variance analysis on accruals vs actuals and explain movements
Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to revenue
Ensure timely and accurate posting in SAP systems
Prepare and review revenue and customer program reporting for leadership
Controls, Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., revenue recognition guidance)
Design and enforce internal controls over revenue, accruals, and reserves
Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits
Partner with Controllers to ensure alignment with corporate accounting policies
Identify control gaps and drive remediation actions
Leadership & People Management
Set clear KPIs for Revenue Recognition for Sales Finance process for the regions
Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, drive performance and development
Manage Business Partner Relationships with our Vendor teams.
Coordinate with Vendor teams for transaction processing and reporting accuracy
Drive standardization and simplification of revenue accounting processes
Improve documentation, SOPs, & Process maps for the process.
Support automation and system enhancements for accruals and reporting
About you:
Qualifications & Experience
CA / CPA / equivalent accounting qualification
10-12 years of experience in revenue recognition, accounting procedures, principles & GAAP requirements
Strong experience with retail revenue, customer programs, rebates, and discounts
Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/S4 preferred)
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex stakeholder environments
Excellent Verbal & Written Communication
Work Environment:
