Our team within the water Infra Business is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions for water infrastructure projects. We specialise in designing various pumping stations, water & wastewater treatment facilities. We leverage Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enhance collaboration, improve design accuracy, and optimise project delivery across the entire lifecycle - from concept and planning through construction and operation. BIM enables us to integrate civil, structural, and mechanical elements seamlessly, ensuring cost efficiency and reducing risks.

Our expertise spans:

• Water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Your role

• Learn the 3D modelling software’s such as Civil 3D/Plant 3D/Revit.
• Building professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Complete all assignments and projects in a timely and efficient manner.
• Take part in all educational and training opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.

About you

• Recent Pass out (2025/2024) in BE / Diploma in Mechanical or Civil engineering.
• Good communication skills in the English language (spoken & written) required.
• Subject knowledge of engineering design/drafting.
• Able to read/understand markups given by the Engineer.
• Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Eager to learn modelling software such as Civil 3D/Plant 3D/Revit.
• Work closely with BIM Leads and team members.
• Participate in team meetings and prepare meeting notes.

Overview

AtkinsRealis is looking for Apprentice – 3D RC Modelling (Tekla / Allplan) from Structures or civil background for our Bangalore office.

We are seeking motivated and technically strong Civil and Structural Engineering apprentices who will be trained and developed to support 3D reinforced concrete (RC) modelling and detailing using Tekla Structures and Allplan.
This role is part of our strategic initiative to strengthen in‑house digital engineering capability to support complex nuclear and other high‑integrity infrastructure projects.

The apprenticeship provides hands‑on training, mentorship, and progressive responsibilities to prepare candidates for long‑term roles in 3D modelling, detailing, and BIM-based engineering workflows.

Your role

• Develop 3D RC models in Tekla Structures and Allplan under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Prepare RC detailing deliverables, including reinforcement layouts, bar bending schedules (BBS), and extraction of construction drawings.
• Assist in creating coordinated BIM models and contribute to clash-free, constructible design outputs.
• Support senior modelers in quality checks, model updates, and revisions based on engineering comments.
• Ensure proper model organization, naming conventions, and data management as per project standards.
• Participate in nuclear project-specific training related to quality, safety, and documentation requirements.engineers and participate in project discussions and reviews.
• Learning & Development
  • Complete structured training modules on:
    • 3D modelling fundamentals
    • Tekla Structures / Allplan workflows
    • Nuclear project engineering processes
    • Digital engineering and BIM fundamentals
  • Learn international codes, detailing standards, and modeling practices (e.g., BS, Eurocodes, ACI).
  • Work closely with mentors to understand the full lifecycle of RC detailing—from design interpretation to model delivery.

About you

• B. Tech in Civil Engineering or M. Tech in Structural Engineering
• Graduated within the last 1–2 years and have no experience
• No PF account
• If experience, not more than one year
• Strong academic record and interest in structural modelling/digital engineering
• Skills & Competencies Essential
  • Strong understanding of Reinforced Concrete design and detailing fundamentals.
  • Good knowledge of engineering drawings, structural plans, and construction terminology.
  • Ability to learn new digital tools quickly and adapt to technology-driven workflows.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and willingness to follow structured processes.
• Preferred (Added Advantage)
  • Exposure to Tekla Structures, Allplan, Revit, or any CAD/BIM software (even academic-level).
  • Coursework or projects involving 3D modelling, RC design, or structural detailing.
  • Familiarity with industry codes (IS, BS, Eurocode, ACI).
