Accounting & Reporting: Own financial reporting for assigned entities, ensuring reconciliations and documentation comply with Stryker’s corporate finance policies.
Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead your team through timely and accurate completion of closing activities and corporate reporting requirements.
Balance Sheet Reviews: Perform regular reviews, resolve misstatements, and implement corrective actions to maintain accuracy.
Audit Coordination: Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure audit objectives are met and action plans implemented.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain and monitor effective internal control systems to comply with SOX 404, anti-bribery regulations, and company policies.
People Management: Supervise, coach, and mentor accountants, setting goals, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
Project Management: communication across different departments, ability to evaluate existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and drive sustainable improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as escalation point for accounting teams and business partners, providing guidance and solutions to accounting requests.
Continuous Improvement: Drive simplification, standardization, and process enhancements across financial reporting and compliance activities.
What You Need
Required Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ managerial or supervisory experience in a multinational company or auditing firm (Big Four preferred).
Technical Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control frameworks.
Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Accounting Standards: Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards
Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with JDE and Hyperion
Certification: Professional accounting certification (CPA or equivalent).
Leadership Competencies: Ability to prioritize effectively, motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and perform under pressure with integrity and professionalism.
