Summary:
As an Application Tech Support Practitioner, you will serve as the vital link between clients and the systems or applications they utilize. Your day will involve engaging with clients to understand their needs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that our systems operate seamlessly. You will leverage your exceptional communication skills to provide high-quality support, ensuring that client concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Your role will also require you to interpret complex client issues and design tailored resolutions based on your extensive product knowledge, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Experience in Oracle Database Administration 12c, 18c, 19c
DB Architecture experience in Oracle 12c, 18c, 19c
RMAN backup and recovery solutions
Installing Oracle software, creating Oracle databases
Performing upgrades of the database and software to new release levels ( oracle 11g,12c to 19c)
Good Knowledge of Oracle Cloud control (OEM)
Managing the database & storage structures
Managing users, security, managing schema objects, such as tables, indexes, and views
Making database backups and performing recovery when necessary
Database migration, cloning and refresh using RMAN and export/import utility
Proactively monitoring the database's health and taking preventive or corrective action as required
Performed Backup and recovery using Export & Import (datapump) utilities in different levels like tables level, schemas level, and Database level.
Creating, and monitoring Tablespaces and data files for users.
User managed backup (both hot and cold) and recovery
Experience in Dataguard, RAC,ASM and ACFS
Work experience in Unix Shell scripting, Virtualization & Automation
Manage ODA deployment using ODACLI, ODA_BASE, and ODA Manager
Perform ODA patching (server, storage, ILOM, GI, DB)
Apply ODA bundle patches and quarterly patching
Manage ODA storage layout (DATA, RECO diskgroups, ACFS)
Oracle Linux OS administration on ODA nodes
Manage ILOM (Integrated Lights Out Manager)
Good to have Exadata and Microsoft SQL database server knowledge
Ready to Work in 24x7 production environments on rotation basis.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for Oracle databases.
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming for database management.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
