As the Maintenance Lead Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our maintenance team is equipped with the latest skills and knowledge to maintain our standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Maintenance Lead Trainer, you will be entrusted with the following exciting responsibilities:
Training Program Development: Lead the planning and execution of our Maintenance Training Program. Develop engaging and interactive training materials, manuals, and systems encompassing various maintenance subjects, such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and refrigeration.
Dynamic Instruction: Deliver inspiring and comprehensive class instruction, guiding team members through the fundamentals of maintenance. Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes active participation and knowledge retention.
Innovative Training Techniques: Stay ahead of the curve by incorporating innovative training techniques and technologies into the program. Embrace creative approaches to enhance the learning experience for all participants.
Safety Advocacy: Champion of a safety culture within the maintenance department. Coordinate and lead safety training sessions, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills to maintain a safe work environment.
Hands-On Learning: Administer and assess hands-on training requirements for maintenance personnel. Provide guidance and support during practical training sessions, fostering confidence and expertise among team members.
Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors to stay updated on the latest advancements in maintenance practices. Interface with external partners to enhance training content and delivery methods.
Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, student progress, and certifications. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for compliance and reporting purposes.
Continuous Improvement: Actively seek feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve the training program. Adapt content and delivery methods based on evaluations and evolving industry standards.
Adaptable Support: Perform additional tasks as deemed appropriate by the Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or GED required
Experience: 4 plus years of automation and/or industrial maintenance experience, experience with electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures, and troubleshooting or operating of PLC systems and microprocessors. Prior training experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Windows‑based applications including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong documentation and organizational skills, including the ability to use technical reference materials effectively.
Must be proficient in, or able to become proficient in, SAP Maintenance.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including hourly team members, management, government officials, and vendors.
Special Skills:
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with all levels of management and operations personnel.
Knowledge and demonstrated skills in:
AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems
Electronic device theory and application
Mechanical system components (bearings, gears, clutches, belts, seals)
Troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to maintain accurate parts inventory and recordkeeping for critical components.
