Job Summary

The Legal Assistant II provides administrative and legal support to the Transactions Legal Group and senior leadership, including the Chief Legal Officer. This role owns calendar and travel coordination, expense processing, and meeting logistics, while also supporting regulatory exams, legal reporting, and document preparation. The position manages legal records and filing systems, maintains document tracking and retention, and supports workflow intake processes to ensure efficient legal operations.

* Ability to work on-site in downtown Portland 3 days per month is a requirement of the role. *

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, meetings, travel, and expenses for legal team and senior leaders
  • Support regulatory exams, legal reports, and preparation of memos and communications
  • Maintain legal records, filing systems, and document tracking/retention processes
  • Coordinate document research and retrieval through legal indexing systems
  • Support work intake processes and day-to-day administrative operations

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Education: High School Diploma required, Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:  4+ years of progressively responsible administrative work experience in a corporate law or business department, law office, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. 
  • Prior experience supporting senior management officers, Chief Legal Officer and/or in-house law department preferred.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of the organization with a concentrated focus on Senior Management.
  • Notary or ability to achieve designation within 3 months preferred

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

34.74 - 46.15
