About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Energy Business Development Manager! This role will be aligned virtually within the United States with close proximity to Midland, TX or neighboring cities.

In this role, you will be responsible for revenue growth and customer experience for medium to large-sized customers, including new business development, time and territory management, sales tools and analytics utilization, product knowledge and relationship management. This role will be aligned by markets and product portfolio within a business and involves a high degree of collaboration, communication and cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Manage account portfolio and prepare and implement sales plans.
• Lead and coordinate customer relationships working to understand customer needs and identify potential new clients.
• 3+ days weekly visiting customer sites, working with site engineers to understand operational optimization opportunities in the amines plants.
• Input information in CRM and SmartPrice providing the required documentation aligned to the Dow sales processes.
• Manage Sales Contracts following Dow guidelines and legal requirements according to each region and country.
• Develop and execute sales and marketing plans delivering business goals of volume and value.
• Collect and utilize market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
• Lead and conduct negotiations and implement price changes and strategies.
• Collaborate with other functions and stakeholders to deliver CX results.

Required Qualifications

•  A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
• Must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the West Texas area. (Midland, TX, Odessa, TX etc.)
• Ability to travel locally up to 75%.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree discipline in chemical engineering or related science.
• Prior experience in gas treating/refineries or equivalent.

• Commercial Acumen: Previous commercial/customer-interfacing related experience.
• Sales Process: Prior Sales experience including demonstrated ability to identify and deliver cross-business sales.
• Sales Analytics Tools: Proficiency in CRM, DSR (Business Results), OMP (Forecasting), SmartPrice, & Microsoft Office.
• Communication: Fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Customer Relationship Building: Ability to prioritize in-person relationship building.
• Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
• Prioritization: Ability to maximize business results.
