Job Summary
The Audiologist provides complete diagnostic audiologic evaluations and implements appropriate treatment plans. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance.Pay Range
Minimum $93,226 Midpoint $123,531 Maximum $153,816Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum one year of clinical experience.
Education
• Required:
Doctorate degree in Audiology or Prior to January 1, 2008, hold a master’s degree or equivalent in audiology from an accredited educational institution.
• Preferred: Doctorate degree in Audiology.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others from all cultural linguistic and socioeconomic backgrounds in an empathic and confidential manner; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure and deadlines; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
• Preferred: Conversational fluency in sign language or a second language, particularly Spanish or Vietnamese.
Licensure
• Required: California Audiology license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: California Dispensing Audiology license.
Work Environments - Functional Demand:
