Goal of Function:

  • Reporting to the Head of Care Enablement Platforms CoE and Business Partners, the Head of CE Global Business Partners will be charged with developing and delivering on strategic initiatives that are paramount to DTI’s ongoing transformation success within Care Enablement and FMC.
  • The IT BP will be expected to work closely with the board and senior business leaders across the organization to ensure that technology resources and strategies are aligned to both current and future needs of the business.
  • The IT BP will continue to design and shape the technology roadmap for the Care Enablement organization and develop / lead a technology organization which fosters high-performance and operational excellence creating a sustainable culture of technology competence and a proactive service orientation.
  • The IT BP will be expected to execute a robust strategy and take advantage of this information to drive market leadership in the changing healthcare landscape and supports their focus on patient care and holistic support to patients, payors, caregivers, providers, and physicians.

Purpose & Scope:

  • Digitize and automate work streams throughout the business.
  • Continue to drive and accelerate the path the company is going through to become a more connected, digitalized business that ties the overall supply chain to the services/offerings to patients.
  • Proactively foster internal Business Leader relationships, truly understanding specific business nuances, and build credibility of value of digital transformation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other Care Enablement and enterprise leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost-effective delivery of IT solutions/services to meet those needs and respond with agility to changing business priorities.
  • Bring best practices addressing technology strategies for workflows and analytics, building digital core of ERP environment.
  • Rationalize organizational structure and develop talent which is aligned to the changing times of IT’s role in the fabric of the business and as strategic business partners.
  • Need to improve overall margins, become cost competitive with commercial excellence and operational efficiency
  • Lead and define best practices for holistically deploying & updating core systems as well as initiate new technology that continues to serve the internal growth plans of the business and patient/clinical experience.
  • Provide expert counsel and guidance to senior management and key stakeholders on all aspects of technology. Apply strong leadership and thinking to a diverse set of opportunities and challenges, ensuring the technology organization serves as a true strategic partner and enabler to all facets of the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with  Head of Care Enablement Platforms CoE and Business Partners on the long-term technology vision and strategic plans aligned with and support for the organization's strategies and goals. Seek funding for innovative IT initiatives that provide strategic value.
  • Provide cost effective management, rationalization, and simplification of the company's portfolio of systems and projects.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on technology priorities and align budget and capital expenses to ensure the highest value work is funded and implemented in alignment with individual Business Line leaders’ business needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of state of- the-art information technology, digital health trends, connected care, and emerging technologies. Identify appropriate technologies for technology initiatives and produce technology-driven innovation to further facilitate business objectives and maximize return on investment dollars
  • Maintain awareness of existing and emerging technology, regulatory and market factors, and assist in the development of the IT strategy.
  • Work in concert with IT and departmental quality efforts to design and implement system supporting patient care, research activities, and quality improvement.

  • Experience navigating challenges in further integrating systems that have been acquired into the business.

  • Provide cost effective management, rationalization, and simplification of the company's portfolio of systems and projects.
  • Hire, develop, appraise, reward, and retain a highly engaged technology organization. Motivate and mentor technology leaders and teams. Plan and provide continuity and succession for the technology leadership team.
  • Enable and engage the technology leadership team to deliver high levels of performance as it relates to system reliability, user experience, technology transformation, compliance and security.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15 years of experience leading large-scale technology organizations.
  • 5+ years’ experience internal senior management level role; or 5+ years’ external experience in a senior management level role
  • Experience working with global business leaders, specifically experience in Europe.
  • Global experience in leading large-scale agile transformations.
  • Created a technology culture of enabling the business as well as a culture centered on the company’s mission.
  • Proven in leading change for an organization as proactive Business Partner.
  • Experience in manufacturing business model; product experience from healthcare landscape: i.e., medical technology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and/or instrumentation sectors.
  • Experience working in complex globally businesses or business units ($2B+ preferred).
  • Experience in major transformation, turnaround or cultural change within relevant business of global scale.
  • Industry domain recognition.
  • Knowledge of both legacy mainframe environments as well as cutting edge consumer facing technologies and the role data/predictive analytics and needs to evolve to in supporting changing healthcare models.
  • Ability to empower a team and align them to the mission of the overall company while achieving goals set within the information technology group.
  • Ability to support and drive innovation as well as efficiencies across clinical operations, care team, patient experience, billing, care coordination, Doctor partners, sales, account management, and supply chain.
  • Ability to create large scale agile software development organizations.
  • Experience within relevant vertical markets highly regulated, i.e., financial services, travel, healthcare, etc.
  • Highly strategic and accomplished technology leader with proven experience in driving large-scale transformational change in complex environment.
  • Organic growth mindset with the ability to create cutting edge products and drive innovation while managing cost/investment.
  • Immediately recognizable as a leader, bringing executive credibility and possessing outstanding leadership skills and team building excellence.
  • Proven ability to link complex technologies to business strategies is required.
