The role and opportunity
Day to day, you will play a key role in developing, improving and quality-checking the holistic advice that our proprietary technology delivers. We are building a financial advice engine, which takes a customer's financial plan and cash flow forecast, and generates unique personalised recommendations off the back of it.
This role will be integral to ensure the advice which we generate is robust, and ultimately suitable for every recipient.
At Octopus Money we are building the future of financial advice. We will be taking the elements of traditional advice which make it so compelling; domain expertise, personalisation, and motivation, and combining them with what makes technology so effective; speed, consistency and ease of access.
Ideally, we are looking for somebody with experience of both the traditional, and the FinTech worlds of personal finance.
The role has significant potential for progression and the ideal candidate will be someone who prides themselves on delivering the highest quality of financial advice, is highly technical whilst also passionate about improving the world of financial planning.
Day to day you will be:

We are building something new here, so we need you to be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You should be someone who gets excited by complex problems and can find creative ways to solve them no matter what your level of knowledge and experience with the subject matter.
You should be able to digest complexity and develop a plan to move forward, without losing sight of the important details.

Required
In return for your contribution we offer a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 DOE + benefits
Please note, as a regulated business we are required to run background checks for all employees which covers adverse financial and unspent convictions. These will only take place upon a successful job offer.

Flexible working
We currently operate a hybrid model which is a mix of office and remote. You'll have the option of working from home 2 days per week (Monday and Friday) with the remainder from our central London office in Holborn.

We give an 18 day work from anywhere allowance to swap out the on site days or take some time working from another country. Due to regulations this does not apply to individuals that give regulated financial advice.
