JOB SUMMARY: 

The Hospitality Manager will be responsible for managing client-facing performance food catering operations for a professional baseball operation in Jupiter, FL. This will include client communications, dining room service, responsibility for the ‘Front of House’ and collaboration with the chef team and ‘Back of House’ operations.

 

This position reports to the Executive Chef.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver best-in-class food service to our client
  • Be the front-facing leader for our team
  • Consistently present a clean, organized, and inspiring dining area and service line
  • Be involved in all communications with local clients and coordinate those needs with the executive chef
  • Interface regularly with the corporate leadership to ensure that all standards are being upheld and in-line with budget

 

Scheduling and Human Resources

  • Collaborate with Executive Chef to write weekly schedules for all staff members, including cooks, delivery drivers, and café attendants
  • Working with the Executive Chef collaborate with Human Resources for all staffing needs, including hiring, discipline, and termination
  • Foster a culture that displays mutual respect, patience, and compassion

 

Client Relations

  • Manage and build upon existing relationships with performance food service clients
  • Adapt to the unique demands of performance food service and create systems to accommodate those needs
  • Possess a strong sense of integrity for self and service
  • Maintain a “solutions minded” attitude 
  • Exhibits a pleasant demeanor, cheerful service and maintains a helpful, friendly, and caring attitude towards players and coaching staff
  • Adheres to facility confidentiality policies and procedures

 

Kitchen Operations

  • Possess an understanding of kitchen culture
  • Work with the kitchen directly to assist in production and operations as needed
  • Assist the kitchen in developing and maintaining systems, i.e., rotating cleaning schedules, routine maintenance, opening and closing checklists
  • Assist with product received and communicating with dock support logistics

 

Dining Room Operations

  • Lead operations at dining location that hosts meal service up to 7 days per week
  • Maintain standards and appropriate staffing in dining operations
  • Manage inventory, rotation and ordering of snacks and beverages
  • Maintain stock of FOH service ware including packing, supplies and disposables
  • Make, package, rotate and stock Grab and Go fridge
  • Assist with Coffee Program, and coordinate placing orders
  • Sweep, mop, and scrub as needed, as well as clean floors, shelves, surfaces, equipment, etc.
  • Ensure hot food temperatures are within safe range and record temps

 

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage AP/AR responsibilities on a week to week basis
  • Manage signage and other menu communications
  • Aide in ordering service-related items within the budget in collaboration with Executive Chef
  • Schedule and document regular meetings with the on-site client
  • Track meal counts and update appropriate tracking systems

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 7 years of restaurant, catering, and/or customer service experience
  • 3 years of team management experience
  • Experience in client-facing role—demonstrated success with building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Strong written and in-person communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Experience in implementing new systems within an existing operation
  • ServSafe Managers certification
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Problem-solving mentality
  • Familiarity with budgets, food and supply orders, COGS, and inventory audits 
  • Proficient in google suite including sheets, docs, drive, etc.
  • Exhibits patience and compassion
  • Adaptability 
  • A working knowledge of baseball is a plus
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Able to work non-standard work week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
