The Job Details are as follows:

As a Functional Consultant, this position will be the expert who translates business needs into technical solutions. This position will be a trusted advisor, working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, design solutions, and ensure seamless implementation.

  • Partner with clients to manage the setup, installation, configuration, and integration of technology solutions.
  • Understand business requirements of the client and design a technical solution to meet those needs.
  • Determine the scope of the implementation and the resources required to successfully complete.
  • Build a customer-focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the customization, configuration, and implementation of Workday for client.
  • May include support, maintenance, and system integration.
  • Develop all analytical functions such as data mapping and transfer, and design an efficient disaster recovery plan.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in creating proposals and SOW's, responding to RFP's.
  • Drive working sessions with client to ensure expectations and direction are aligned and timelines are being met.
  • Conduct implementation pilots, identify areas for product and process improvement, and make recommendations.
  • Coordinate with functional groups and identify all required enhancements and process changes to resolve all issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients throughout the implementation process.
  • Produce and manage client-facing documentation.
  • Recognized as subject matter expert and advanced individual contributor professional.
  • Conducts highly complex work with full autonomy and extensive latitude for independent judgment.

Workday HCM Module:

  • In-depth knowledge of human capital management (HCM) processes: This includes expertise in areas like recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation & benefits, and workforce planning.
  • Experience with Workday HCM configuration: Familiarity with configuring workflows, business processes, and security settings within the Workday HCM module.
  • Understanding of payroll and tax regulations: This is especially important if the role involves data mapping and integrations with payroll systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or international equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in functional consulting or a related technical role.
  • Workday Certified Professional certification (or relevant Workday module-specific certification)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Proven experience in designing, configuring, and implementing commercial software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with data mapping and transfer techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
