Position Summary
We’re looking for an innovative, analytical, and growth-minded Lead Product Manager – Enterprise Data Platform to define and execute the strategy for our next-generation data platform. This Product Manager will join the Data Analytics and Intelligence Team at CDK Global. This role will play an important role in delivering an OEM Analytics solution that enables OEMs and Dealers to make better business decisions based on actionable insights and predictive analytics. You will be the owner of customer-facing OEM Analytics and have the opportunity to grow the business through understanding market opportunities and customer pain points. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic and analytical mindset, focus on positive business outcomes, ability to drive execution, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will lead the development of data solutions that empower our ecosystem of automotive partners—including DMS (Dealer Management Systems), OEMs, service providers, and retailers—to seamlessly integrate, exchange, and leverage data to drive business success. This role will utilize AI/ML models to drive differentiation, actionable insights, and tailored actions for customers to improve profitability and operational efficiencies. You should be both technical and non-technical to effectively communicate with audiences of different backgrounds, including senior leadership.
As a key leader, you will collaborate closely with the Data Warehouse Product Manager and other cross-functional teams to ensure the platform's scalability, accessibility, and alignment with business objectives. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, optimizing data operations, and delivering value to the automotive ecosystem through advanced integrations and insights.
Responsibilities
Define the vision, product strategy and build product roadmaps for the enterprise data platform that align with customer and CDK business objectives and industry trends.
Lead the evolution of the platform to support real-time data processing, analytics, and scalable integrations with enterprise-grade reliability.
Deliver and prioritize well-defined epic/feature requirements to Engineering and UX based on user/market requirements, strategy & business plan
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of platform features, from concept to deployment, with a focus on delivering high-value, customer-centric solutions.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement
robust data pipelines, APIs, and integration frameworks.
Oversee the development of data governance frameworks to ensure data quality,
security, and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Drive execution and delivery, and go-to-market of product roadmap through
collaboration with Engineering, Product Operations, Product Marketing,
Customer Care, and Professional Services
Build and refine integration solutions tailored to the automotive ecosystem,
supporting key use cases for DMS providers, OEMs, service providers, and
market retail partners.
Build new features and functionality to provide seamless and flexible integrations
with the CDK Data Platform
Build automation and new tools for Implementation and Customer Care to deliver
a great customer experience for Partners
Build a new front-end experience for Partners to seamlessly integrate with the
CDK data ecosystem along with dashboards that bring visibility into the health
and operational KPIs for them
Collaborate with the Data Platform engineering team to ensure high quality data
is delivered through high performing data pipelines
Collaborate with the Data Warehouse Product Manager to integrate data
warehouse capabilities into the broader platform strategy.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the platform, including
adoption rates, data quality, integration success, and customer satisfaction.
Use data-driven insights to optimize platform performance and inform future
development priorities.
Partner with Launch Management to ensure a successful go-to-market plans with
Professional Services, Customer Care, Marketing, Pricing, Sales, and Customer
Success
Help build data solutions that support DMS, OEMs, market retail, and service
integrations, enabling seamless data sharing and operational efficiencies
Partner with the Partner Sales, Account Management, UX, Marketing and Customer Success teams to conduct customer research that drives strategy, roadmaps, and new opportunities
Become an expert and trusted partner at CDK Global for inbound and outbound integrations with Partner Data
Collaborate with customer-facing teams and Partners to deliver solutions based on contractual obligations
Prioritize roadmaps and features based on voice of customer and ongoing feedback loops from users and other stakeholders
Evangelize and effectively communicate Product Strategy, Roadmaps, and data- driven results to leadership, partners, and customers
Collaborate with the Data Warehouse Product Manager to optimize data ingestion, storage, and retrieval processes for both operational and analytical use cases.
Define and measure OKRs and KPIs that define success for the product
Partner with Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Customer
Care to implement an operating model that provides the best customer experience for Partners
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent industry experience
6 to 8+ years of product management experience in Enterprise SaaS
5+ years of experience scaling data platforms for data products
Proven track record of working with organizations and engineering teams to
deliver a highly automated and scalable enterprise data platform
Strong knowledge of API development, ETL processes, and data governance
principles.
Experience working in a product-led environment, agile development
methodologies, and globally distributed teams
Passion for collaboration and solving problems with other people and teams
Proven ability to influence and drive strategy across a large organization and
multiple stakeholders
Highly motivated, go-getter attitude with a drive to produce an excellent end-to-
end customer experience and positive business outcomes
Great listener and empathizer to voice of customer that leads to solving customer
pain points
Excellent critical thinking skills to develop solutions that produces high adoption
Excellent written and verbal communication with story-telling savviness
Experience presenting to senior leadership and audiences of all backgrounds
Nimble and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
Data-driven mindset to measure successful outcomes
Financial acumen to develop business cases and monetization opportunities
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred:
Master's or MBA in Computer Science, Business or a related field
Knowledge and experience with data integrations in the automotive industry
Pragmatic Institute certification
Automotive industry experience, particularly in managing DMS integrations, OEM
workflows, or retail and service data systems.
Technical knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
and database solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000
