The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an EHS|PS Training Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.  We are looking for someone who combines EHS and Product Stewardship technical knowledge with expertise in adult learning and program management and leadership strengths.  The ideal candidate will have well developed skills in project management on large scale programs, have leadership experience related to professional training programs, and strong capabilities to build and lead cross-functional teams.  In addition, you will be responsible to:

  • Lead global EHS|PS training program, including working with internal subject matter experts and external consultants to coordinate training development and maintenance, manage global training matrices, and liaise with the 3M global training organization and system of record.

  • Consult with the division leadership team and internal clients to set and execute strategic direction, operating plans, and guidelines/methods for the global EHS|PS training program.

  • Initiate and approve projects to continuously improve training efficiency and effectiveness, and manage the training program to an approved annual budget.

  • Provide direct supervision to professional and support resources, including objective setting, performance management, development, motivating, and training and coaching, as well as leading for change.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

  • Ten (10) combined years of experience with professional learning in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Five (5)+ years experience in participating in or leading environment, health, safety, and/or product stewardship-related training programs for a manufacturing or product development organization.

  • Five (5)+ years combined supervisory and/or management experience.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and improvement programs.

  • Strong demonstration of project management skills and ability to manage activities and resources to achieve targets and objectives.

  • Strategic thinker, high attention to detail, process-oriented, ability to develop and maintain good working relations with clients, ability to communicate (multi-lingual a plus) broadly, clear/concise writing ability and data documentation style, self-starter.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
