What you will do

You will help us deliver Access Excellence across Taiwan by achieving optimal pricing and market access for Amgen products in collaboration with local, regional, and global access and pricing teams. You will identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, building strong relationships necessary to expand access and deliver value to patients, our healthcare system, and Amgen. As a leader within Amgen Taiwan you will leverage your deep understanding of the policy environment, healthcare structure and market access processes to influence regulatory and policy landscapes across key therapeutic areas. Deliverables include:

  • Access: Gain & maintain access and favorable reimbursement for inline products and develop effective access strategies for pipeline products to support the company’s future success.
  • Evidence:  Develop and implement clinical, health economic and real-world evidence generation strategies to demonstrate the value Amgen brings to patients, HCPs, and health systems.
  • Pricing & Contracting:  Partner with the business to develop & implement pricing and contracting strategies to deliver value to patients, the health system, and Amgen.
  • Policy, Govt. Affairs & Advocacy:  Leverage healthcare policy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement strategies to shape our environment in Taiwan, building Amgen’s reputation as a credible, science-based organization that makes meaningful contributions to patients, HCPs, health systems and society.
  • Collaboration: Partner effectively with commercial, medical, finance, regional and global colleagues to support Amgen’s business and Mission to serve patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop pricing and reimbursement strategies for current and future Amgen products; collaborating with global, regional, and local teams to create reimbursement dossiers, pharmacoeconomic studies, budget impact analyses, and stakeholder engagement plans. Deliver Taiwan-specific data and evidence to develop value propositions that align with Amgen Taiwan's business goals.
  • Identify and feedback market environment change to drive proactive strategies and work closely with marketing, medical and finance to formulate pricing and reimbursement through planning new products.
  • Develop annual strategic plans and projects that support the value proposition, marketing, and market access in Taiwan.
  • Lead and/or provide inputs to the pre & post-market JAPAC HEOR studies and projects from market access perspectives, including clinical and economic outcomes research, patient reported outcomes, health economics modelling (budget impact and cost efficiency) & literature searches.
  • Develop and manage long-term working relationships with industry, medical societies, government, and academics; especially dedicate to policy advocacy.
  • Implement external stakeholder engagement through scientific engagement plan for market access success.
  • Familiar with health policy issues and participant industry meeting to enhance company business.
  • Develop and lead Public Private Partnership program to unlock value for the healthcare system and for patients.
  • Manage budget and other relevant resources and timelines on the HEOR, access and policy projects with quality deliverables.

What we expect of you

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with minimum 3 years of experience of market access and policy.
  • Knowledge in Taiwan healthcare system and national reimbursement environment; strong experience in government advocacy is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to conduct situation analysis of external pricing and reimbursement environment and synthesize relevant information to develop strategic plans.
  • Ability to develop and test value messages and value evidence with payers to resolve the most compelling way in which to demonstrate and communicate product value to payers.
  • Ability to translate complex situation and pricing analyses to effectively communicate impact to Amgen business.
  • Ability to review clinical and health economic literature, including disease state information, clinical trial design and results, and pharmacoeconomic studies, to understand implications for value to payers.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution.
  • Anticipates future industry trends and opportunities, develops plans to address these and communicates them to senior management.
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient English
  • Health economics degree is plus.
