Technical Accounting at impact.com sits at the intersection of accounting theory and operational execution. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting, this is a highly visible role where management will rely on you as a primary subject matter expert for our most complex transactions.
You will take complete ownership of complex accounting areas, translating GAAP rules into practical solutions and ensuring they are accurately reflected in our financial statements, processes, and controls.
This role requires a unique balance: you will spend approximately 25%–50% of your time executing month-end close activities for complex areas (such as leases, certain complex revenue transactions, stock-based compensation, and equity), with the remainder of your time focused on deep-dive technical research, audit preparedness, non-routine transactions, and new standard implementation. Because our business environment is dynamic, you will frequently solve novel accounting challenges that have no established precedence.
