The Associate Buyer is responsible for executing procurement processes, managing supplier interactions, and ensuring accurate data and order flow. The position works closely with supply planning, production scheduling, and materials planning to maintain continuity of supply and support operational requirements.

What you will do

  • Maintain master data in ERP systems, including supplier lead times, product details, and minimum order quantities, ensuring 100% data accuracy and system alignment

  • Communicate forecast requirements to suppliers for finished goods, components, and raw materials based on weekly planning cycles

  • Place purchase orders in line with defined processes and compliance requirements, ensuring timely and accurate execution

  • Monitor and communicate safety stock levels to suppliers, ensuring alignment with supply plans and inventory targets

  • Review supplier data for accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements and internal system requirements

  • Act as primary contact for suppliers, communicating updates on demand changes and adjusting order quantities based on latest planning inputs

  • Track and report supplier performance using key metrics such as on-time-in-full delivery, lead time compliance, purchase order accuracy, and inventory impact

  • Prepare weekly reports on supply and demand execution, and support cross-functional initiatives to improve procurement and planning processes

What you will need

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain, procurement, or a related operational role.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in German language

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in supplier interaction or procurement-related activities

  • Minimum 1 year of experience using an enterprise resource planning system.
